The summer camp is for new students only. Looking for the perfect activity for your child this summer? Western New York Karate Center’s summer camp is a fun, affordable and convenient way to introduce children to the benefits of martial arts training. A team of certified black belt instructors will help children become more physically fit, mentally alert and self-disciplined by the time school starts in September. Many kids love the energetic and fun classes that include basic warm-ups and stretches, beginning karate punches, blocks, kicks, and effective self-defense techniques. Parents appreciate the discussions during class about self-control, self-discipline and resisting negative peer pressure. Many parents choose summer camp as a “test run,” finding the 5 week session to be the perfect length for letting their children tryout the program in the school, and evaluating their commitment for continuing lessons. Parents are encouraged to watch classes throughout the five-week span. The purpose of our camp is to let the kids have a good time while gaining valuable skills for daily life. They jump, run, kick, and yell and they also develop greater confidence, cooperation and listening skills. We’ve even had a great deal of success in working with children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. The physical training that the students receive at the center will also help them excel in other sports. Five-week summer camp sessions are offered at the Western New York Karate Center beginning weekly starting on June 29 for $49.95. A full uniform with belt are included at no additional cost. Morning, afternoon, and evening classes are available and the days and times are very flexible. Children as young as 3 years old can start with the summer camp.
